The Roots of the Bell Family Legacy
Our story begins with Lester Bell, a pioneer in the school photography industry. In the early 1950s, Lester’s career started modestly, working in a local portrait photographer’s lab. Yet his entrepreneurial spirit saw opportunity where others did not. Driven by a passion for storytelling through images, he launched a school photography business of his own.
Lester’s son, Arlen, soon joined him, and together they laid the foundation for what became Bell Photographers, a thriving family business that grew steadily over the decades. Through persistence, long hours, and an unshakable commitment to quality, the Bell family built a name synonymous with professionalism and trust.
Lester eventually retired, passing the business to Arlen, who in turn passed the torch to his sons. Each generation has carried forward that same dedication to high-quality products and commitment to a customer-focused process, making Bell Printing a name everyone could count on.
Expanding Into Printing Services
About 35 years ago, the family saw new opportunities by acquiring a local printing company. This move marked a turning point and expanded the Bell brand beyond photography. At first, the work was modest, printing a handful of black and white yearbooks, but it opened the door to a much larger future.
From there, Bell Printing grew into a digital printing powerhouse, investing in cutting-edge technology like HP Indigo and Heidelberg presses. Our facilities expanded to keep pace, with over 19,000 square feet of production space dedicated to high-quality printing.
This growth enabled us to serve schools, organizations, and businesses across Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, and Wyoming, offering a wide range of services that included yearbooks, custom business materials, and more.
